Theme Parks in Dubai & Abu Dhabi
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are major theme-park destinations, bringing together one of the world's largest indoor parks, record-breaking roller coasters, LEGOLAND and a vast water park within reach of most hotels.
Dubai itself has the indoor IMG Worlds of Adventure and the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex with LEGOLAND, Motiongate and Real Madrid World. In Abu Dhabi, on Yas Island, are Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld and the Yas Waterworld water park, about an hour's drive from Dubai. I will help you choose a park for your children's ages and your interests, book the tickets and arrange a transfer if you need one.
How to choose a park
- LEGOLAND and LEGOLAND Water Park (Dubai): for children aged 2-10.
- Motiongate (Dubai) and Warner Bros. (Abu Dhabi): for older children and cartoon fans, with fast rides.
- Real Madrid (Dubai): a paradise for football fans.
- IMG Worlds (Dubai): fully indoor and air-conditioned, a good choice in the heat.
- Ferrari World (Abu Dhabi): for lovers of speed; the fastest coaster requires a height of 140 cm.
- SeaWorld (Abu Dhabi): for adults and children of all ages, and a park worth coming back to. Bring a warm layer for this park.
The biggest are Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi (the world's largest indoor theme park) and IMG Worlds in Dubai. The biggest water park is Aquaventure.

LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND Water Park, Motiongate and Real Madrid belong to one complex, so a two-park ticket for one day is better value: 375 AED with me, 395 AED at the ticket office.
Ferrari World, Warner Bros., SeaWorld and Yas Waterworld belong to one complex, so a combo ticket for 2-4 parks, used over 1-6 days, is better value. Six-day combo tickets, one visit per park:
- 2 parks: 460 AED with me, 475 AED at the ticket office
- 3 parks: 560 AED with me, 575 AED at the ticket office
- 4 parks: 660 AED with me, 675 AED at the ticket office
Water parks
- Aquaventure: in Dubai, the world's largest, but its queues are very long.
- Yas Waterworld: in Abu Dhabi, with a large site and much shorter queues.
- LEGOLAND Water Park: for children up to 10.
- Wild Wadi: Dubai's oldest water park and still worth a visit: a compact site, a beautiful view and exciting slides.
Something different
- Ski Dubai: snow and a ski slope inside Mall of the Emirates; a Classic ticket is 260 AED with me, 265 AED at the ticket office.
- Animals: safari parks and zoos and breakfast with giraffes.

A few practical tips
- All tickets are sold with an open date.
- If you can, plan your visit for a weekday to avoid the queues.
- Fast-track passes can be bought at the ticket office inside the park (from 150 AED to 250 AED per person, depending on the park).
- For the Abu Dhabi parks, a comfortable return transfer from Dubai can be arranged (not included in the ticket price).
- Yas Island combines well with an Abu Dhabi tour: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre and the Corniche.

Which theme park is best with young children?
For children aged 2-10, LEGOLAND Dubai and LEGOLAND Water Park are the best fit: the rides are designed for little ones. SeaWorld in Abu Dhabi suits children of any age. The indoor IMG Worlds has a children's area and works even on the hottest days.
Which park suits teenagers and adults?
For speed lovers, Ferrari World and Formula Rossa, the world's fastest roller coaster. For film and cartoon fans, Motiongate in Dubai and Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi. IMG Worlds brings Marvel, dinosaurs and a haunted hotel under one roof. Football fans have Real Madrid World.
Which is the biggest theme park?
The world's largest indoor theme park is Warner Bros. World on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. In Dubai itself the largest indoor park is IMG Worlds of Adventure, and the largest complex is Dubai Parks and Resorts, where LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND Water Park, Motiongate and Real Madrid World stand side by side. The largest water park is Aquaventure on Palm Jumeirah.
How much is a theme park ticket?
An adult ticket with me runs from 259 AED at Wild Wadi to 365 AED at SeaWorld; the Dubai Parks and Resorts parks are 315 AED, IMG Worlds 350 AED, Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World 330 AED. Children under three enter free. The full table is above on this page.
Can we do two parks in one day?
At Dubai Parks and Resorts, yes: there is a two-park, one-day ticket, 375 AED with me, 395 AED at the ticket office. For the Yas Island parks a combo ticket is better value; it is valid for six days, so the parks can be spread over different days.
Dubai or Abu Dhabi parks?
The Dubai parks are closer: IMG Worlds is about 20 minutes from Downtown, Dubai Parks and Resorts 30-40 minutes. The Abu Dhabi parks (Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld and Yas Waterworld) stand side by side on Yas Island, but the drive from Dubai takes about an hour, longer in traffic. Plan a full day there, or take a combo ticket for several parks over several days. A return transfer from Dubai can be arranged separately.
Where to go in the heat?
From May to September, choose the indoor, air-conditioned parks: IMG Worlds in Dubai, and Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld in Abu Dhabi. Outdoor parks such as LEGOLAND and Motiongate are more pleasant from October to April.
Are there height limits?
Yes, on some rides. Formula Rossa at Ferrari World, for example, requires a height of 140 cm, but the parks also have rides for shorter children, and I will suggest what suits yours. At the water parks height also sets the ticket: the child ticket at Aquaventure is for children under 1.2 m, at Wild Wadi under 1.1 m.
How do I buy tickets?
