This full-day journey introduces Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital that transformed from a fishing settlement into a modern metropolis within half a century. At every stop, I explain the emirate's history, traditions and culture.
The main stop is the magnificent white Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, with its marble domes and golden minarets. The route also includes Qasr Al Watan presidential palace, the Corniche, the date market and the celebrated Emirates Palace.
Abayas are provided for women visiting the mosque; men need to wear long trousers.

Dress code
- Men need trousers or jeans and closed shoes. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed.
- Abayas and headscarves are provided for women visiting the mosque. Shoulders and knees must be covered at the palace.
- The Louvre has no dress code, but it is noticeably cool inside.
- TeamLab does not admit heels. Plain clothing photographs best, and some sections are knee-deep in water, so clothes should be easy to roll up.
- Parts of SeaWorld are kept at about 1-2 °C, so bring something warm.
